Hey gang...
Been too busy of late to post anything in a while.
But, I have been thinking of purchasing the K20D and
for the first ever, I need help on this one.
For those of you who've taken the plunge already, I
have to ask why? I'm mostly looking for a second digi
body and I'm in the process of selling one of the last
of my 35mm film bodies (only the LX will remain).
However, after reading a bit on the list about back
focus issues and realizing that the camera may have a
new sensor but still has the same shutter and other
things I decided to play the "wait and see" game.
The cost is now down a bit and the new lenses are
starting to trickle out. The firmware has been updated
to handle some issues. It seems like a good time to
buy. For the record, I don't care about live view and
I don't need a PC socket. Mostly I'm concerned with
image quality and better dynamic range. In contrasty
scenes does the K20D better handle highlights? The
higher ISO ability is good but from what I've seen the
camera is still not a great high ISO performer.
So, I need to know some hands-on type experiences that
y'all have had to help push me over the edge. Some
beloved feature or user story that might help convince
me. What do you really like about the K20D that isn't
there on the K10D?
