Well, the last time I uploaded 30 diverse and interesting pictures,
taking a couple of hours to do so via the ghastly stupid interface, I
also had none accepted. So I no longer waste my time.

Peer review rating is a dumb idea. People pick what is similar to
what they do. Or they pick what they aspire to do and cannot. Or they
intentionally reject those things that compete with their own
submissions. Any way at all, it's a stupid way to run a gallery IMO.
None of these things define fine photography in concept.

But I really don't care much anymore. If they're not going to improve
the interface such that I don't have to spend hours to submit work,
and then don't accept more than one in ten of my photos, I don't have
the time to waste on it.

(By contrast, I can submit 100 images to flickr.com, with full data,
sort and organize them, arrange them into one or several sets, etc,
and barely spend ten minutes at the effort. I can then submit them to
a dozen different critique groups for consideration and feed back,
etc etc. if I so desire, and obtain both personal and group
commentary on each image. Easily, swiftly, and at my own discretion.
And I'm not advertising someone else's products.

That's why I like flickr.com.)
