They started suggesting things, and everything they suggested i replied "tried that, didn't work". The tech eventually asked me (rather snottily, I might add) why I had called, since I obviously knew more about it that he did, and I said because my internet access was down, and I wanted it fixed. Eventually, I got him to ping my modem and we discovered that while it was making the correct dancing lights happen, it was not actually transmitting requests.
