I had my off-brand battery fail last month, after about 9 months of use (in rotation with the genuine battery that came with the camera). I had about 4,500 frames on the K10D, so it powered about 2,000-ish frames. I wasn't too impressed with that, but I still replaced it with two el-cheapo Hong Kong batteries from eBay.
