That's really strange (to me anyway). I have one of the Pentax 35mm Ltds, and quite clearly the outward appearance of the Tokina is nothing like the Pentax. The Tokina's filter size is different (52mm vs Pentax' 49mm), and it weighs a fair bit more too (340g vs Pentax @ 215g). I guess the extra weight is the addition of an AF motor req'd by Nikon and Canon. The Ltd assumes the Pentax body's screw drive. But all the optical characteristics match *very* closely between the two lenses -- pretty much one-to-one.
