This past week I participated in a 300-mile, 5-day biking event. As my compact Fuji F30 is out on loan to my daughter, the only camera I had available to take with me was the K10D with the 16-50 attached. Yeah, it was a little large, but I didn't have much I needed to pack with on the bike anyways (we had support trucks hauling our camping gear for us). One day about 3 days into the trip, I settled into the tent for a nap. After a while it started to rain, so I reached out and zipped down the rain fly on the outside of the tent. Me and the wife waited out the 10-minute shower and then the sun poked out again. After a while, I got up and looked around inside the tent. No camera. Hmm... now where the heck did I put it? I unzipped the tent and looked out onto the grass. There was the K10D sitting in the grass, glistening with raindrops. I was appalled, and then I giggled and told the wife "good thing it's weatherproof, huh?". She didn't think it was funny at all! Party pooper. -Charles Oh - almost forgot - for anyone who cares to see my pictures from the trip: http://charles.robinsontwins.org/photos/2008/tram These sure came out looking nicer than what I shot with the compact F30 the year before. I think I made the right "camera choice". Plus, being able to walk around with it over my shoulder WHILE IT WAS RAINING was kind of fun. It did rain quite a bit on the trip. :-( -- Charles Robinson - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Minneapolis, MN http://charles.robinsontwins.org -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
