If your background is blurred, I would seriously doubt any stitching software would be able to line up each photo correctly. The programs I've used rely on sharp detail and contrast in order to line things up, and I was never able to get them to stitch images well that had too much blur to them. I'd say bite the bullet and do it by hand. Good luck!
