What lens would you use for shooting flat > art? I'm betting that the new 35/2.8 macro would be dandy, but really, any decent lens should be OK, with a macro being the best choice. If you can't get them out from under the glass, you are going to have to live with iffy results. Polarized light sources would be a good bet as well, if yu can get filters large enough to cover your lights, otherwise do the best you can, and use a polarizer if you absolutely have to.
