I used this lens to photograph a painting for an artist friend: it worked well, but the problem I found was that shooting straight on gave unacceptable reflections off the texture of the paint itself. Flash was useless because of this, and straight on with natural light was also a problem. In the end I shot at an angle of about 20 degrees and straightened the image in Photoshop: the artist was very well pleased with the result!
