Actually, those buildings are not downtown--they're north of downtown. As 
you look at the shot, downtown would be off to the right.

Actually, I"m glad you brought this up.  That portrait was taken with the FA 
50 1.4, a lens I like, but I would say that every once in a while I get the 
oddest looking bokeh with it--tends to do a lot of little circle thingies in 
the background.  That portrait was shot wide open at f500, ISO 400 & was 
shot inside a shady playground with a lot of bright light surrounding it.  I 
find it hard to shoot in that playground & I get really odd looking blown 
highlights in the background sometimes.  It's all got me a bit stumped.
