No, but it *felt* as big as a truck when I rode Rt 221 between 
Grandfather Mountain and the town of Blowing Rock, NC! That road had me 
longing for an R6 or my old FZR400 race bike :)

The hard bags probably add considerable drag, especially at high speed. 
I did get 52 mpg for the trip from Pittsburgh to GFM, through the 
mountains and mostly at 70-80 mph. But I drove the Prius when I went 
down last week: There's no way the Triumph would haul that Pentax 67 kit 
(in addition to all my other photo gear). I guess the Canon D1 is the 
reason Cotty needs a Land Rover ;-)
