Back when I had a road bike (before The Accident of 2007), I was
continually surprised at the huge difference in riding hands-free
between that and my trackbike. The shorter wheelbase, small amount of
trail and vertical geometry of the trackbike make handsfree riding
very comfortable.

The road bike, OTOH, seemed to "have a mind of its own", and once it
was going in a certain direction, it wanted to keep going that way,
despite how much I leaned (or tried to lean) my body the other way.

cheers,
frank
