A cheaper way would be ebay and a jailbreak.

My first gen iphone went to my son. I paid 30GBP for a well-resourced
unlocking software and that now runs on Vodafone UK. 720 bucks seems
very steep for the country as a whole.

With a suitable bar mount, it would make navigation on your bike a dream 8-D
