Thanks to all of you for your kind comments.

This is a place of great beauty.  I have visited the crater several
times, and tried to capture its effect on me, but usually with
disappointing results, often because of the harsh lighting and heavy
shadows.  This day and time gave me the lighting I needed to convey
what my eye saw.  Yes, I will put in in a portfolio that puts the
crater in its context.
