A simple solution would be to stop running Boris.exe directly, and
create a script to run Boris.exe. When Boris.exe finishes get the
script to copy the new files, if they exist. For example:

copy( pending/boris.exe, boris.exe )
end
if exists( pending/boris1.dll ) then
...
end
...
