Paul, my buddy on the IoM, bought an Olympus ZD 70-300 to use with an E-520 body. I picked it up for him and did some testing. It's an f/ 4-5.6 lens so it is much smaller and lighter, and quite a lot less expensive. I found it to be a very sharp and pleasing performer: wide open good, one stop down excellent. You might want to take a look at that one too. Certainly with the E-520's IS it is very hand holdable.
Another combination that works very well is a ZD 50/2 Macro fitted with the EC14 teleconverter ... a 70mm f/2.8 lens in effect that is reasonably fast and a good size. That's probably the way I'd go. I might take the 100/2.8 CZ Makro. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
