The R8-R9 were fugly to look at, but had the finest feel, best controls and finest viewfinder, finest lenses, of any 35mm SLR camera I ever used. I always wished I could afford one with a four lens complement kit, but that was always just too far over the financial cliff for me. Sometimes I wish I were a wealthy dentist ... not the good-hearted and not-wealthy kind like my dearly departed father was.
