thanks Godfrey. although I doubt I'll ever move up to being a
professional photographer, I appreciate the update.
You're welcome, Rebekah. Several other folks have written, off-list,
as well as the couple on-list to express thanks for having posted
information on this topic. Some have written to express their
displeasure at seeing this information on the list. Thank you all
for expressing your opinions.
As I said to one of those who wrote me, I had/have no intention of
discussing the issue either on this list or elsewhere. That's why
the email included informational links, for you to do with as you
see fit. You should do whatever research you feel is appropriate on
this topic and make your own judgements.
I personally feel that changes in copyright law it are an important
topic that a community of photographers should be aware of and know
what's going on, however, or I would not have posted the
information. If you feel otherwise, my apologies and thank you for
your forbearance.
Godfrey
Thanks for posting the info, Godders. I am quite perplexed by the
response, wondering how information concerning photographers' rights
would be out of place on a photography list.
although I didn't get into reading it all - I agree that info on
copyright law - even if only in one of our multiple countries
is not a "political" post but I would have not made the subject line so
um "powerful" -
