I have 2 friends who had works published through Blurb.

One has had a couple of books printed. They contained only colour
images & turned out fine.

The other had a collection of his fine are nudes printed into a bok to
go along with an exhibition he held. The first sample book turned out
perfectly. The bulk run to fill orders he had taken during his
exhibition has been nothing but problems. 2 runs with exactly the same
problem
