It looks a lot like the diffused light you get when using a large soft box in the studio to me. A common effect when shooting in shade but with a light source outside. Excellent portraits BTW.
Thanks, Dave. Explanation works for me. I was really amazed with the quality @ ISO 800 on the K10D. As I mentioned to Charles, I think I'll have a look at my monitor. It might be too bright. Big cheers, Christine
