Subject: OT: Need Mac Help!!
My G4 dual 1.25 Mac with system 10.4.11 won't start. When I hit the power
button on the front, it glows but nothing happens. Last time it was used
my daughter shut it off with the button rather than using the menu
shutdown. She didn't hold it down, she just hit it once which should have
put the computer to sleep. When I tried to start it this morning, I soon
realized it might be asleep, so I held the button down for an extended
period of time, then tried to start it. Nothing. Just a glow from the
button. I tried disconnecting all my peripherals, unplugged the power
cord, then tried to start up. All I got was a glow from the button. Any
ideas? Power supply? Mother board? I have to fix it soon. Lots of work to
do.
It sounds like the motherboard isn't booting.
