Interesting idea that FA lenses could make a comeback. I assumed they disappeared because of the mandate for lead-free glass: Changing the glass formulations would change the refractive index index and render the old designs unusable. I suppose tweaking the designs for different glass would be less costly that starting from scratch with new optical formulas. And they might as well get rid of the aperture ring and "aperture simulator" tab while they're at it.

And, going to a larger, but still cropped, sensor is a logical interim step on the way to full-frame.

Yes, it makes sense... but that could be just how someone invented the whole thing!

I'll be content to shoot with my K20D for a while and wait until the truth outs itself!
