So, I'm not likely to burn up the flash testing functions without the red cover in place to make sure nothing else broke?

I think my local guy can get the part from Pentax, and I'd rather use him if there's no OTHER damage to the flash, since it takes such a long time for it to turn around from Pentax. (Plus, I gotta' find where I put the box before I can ship it back to them.)

I've got a AF-360FGZ I can use in the meantime if I actually need the flash.

I was practicing the wireless flash with the flash hand-held in my left hand, and dropped it while trying to put one of those plastic bowl diffusers on it.
