Cotty,

Are you saying I should buy it - you seem uncertain LOL!

I have had very bad experiences buying abroad, well to be honest by post,
things arrive in kit form which shouldn't.

I am awaiting news of LXs locally, but Stan and I are in conversation off
list.

Sigh! There will be a happy ending; after all it is coming up for Christmas.

Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!
Buy it!

That's a good price - AND it's had the CLA. I have the same model LX
(withoutt the second meter activation button) and it's perfectly fine -
and mine LIVES with a motor drive stuck to it. I find that, for vertical
format pics, most of the time I shoot using the normal shutter release
anyway, it seems more stable that way. Although using the second shutter
release (on the end of the NiCad pack) is no problem at all - and because
of the LX's metering system, you're guaranteed great exposure.

I've bought abroad loads of times, it's fine. It only takes about a week
or so to arrive, and as long as the seller ticks the box marked 'gift' on
the customs label, there is no tax or duty to pay. With used equipment, I
have no problem at all with this - the tax on it was paid when new - why
pay again?

C'mon, we all want a happy ending to this! Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!

;-)
