I like the shot as is, but I've fooled around with shooting buildings that face north. There's really no great time to shoot them in late fall, winter or early spring, other than under a cloud cover perhaps. But in summer, when the sun sets dead west, you'll get great light within a few minutes after the ball drops.

The Mrs and I took a fall drive around the area
earlier today. We went by a barn I've been eying. The
adjacent harvested rice field had been flooded in order to
rot the rice stubble. Burning is now done on a very limited
basis and will be completely discontinued in the near
future.
The reflection added just enough to make me pull over
and do the standard "drive by".
