Best store-bought loupes are Rodenstocks. If you want a good one for almost
no money, go to eBay and look for a Pentax 55mm screwmount lens (SMC Takumar
55mm f/1.8). I use one of these as a loupe and it's better than any of the
cheaper loupes I have. No distortion, very sharp. It won't show a whole
slide at once, though. You can get one for peanuts. And it's Pentax!

I find it's all the loupe I ever need.
