I know what you mean. But I'm not willing to put the money into an
Epson R-D1 kit either. I keep looking at them and my head ... neat
camera in every way, and some lovely lenses available for it.
But I have it from two good sources that a Leica M-bayonet to micro-
FourThirds adapter will be available in the US by the end of December.
The Panasonic G1 is about the same size as a Leica CL and, with its
full time Live View, will be an even better platform for legacy manual
lenses than today's DSLRs are. One of the G1 bodies fitted with an
Ultron 28mm f/2 or Nokton 40mm f/1.4, or the upcoming 20/1.8 that
Panasonic announced, would do the trick.
