John,
The sharp flower makes a good first impression,
but softens as you move away from the central pedals.
And the near pedals are way out of focus :-(
The stem and background focus are a distraction.
The bokeh is positively strident and I doubt you'll tame it with
digital post processing.
I'd remember what you liked about this flower photo, and
look to shoot it again with more depth of field on the flower.
I'm sure you can work our a better bokeh or bring a green cloth.
