The flower itself is well photographed but the background felt like someone
was scratching my eyeballs.

"...a bit jarring."

"...felt like someone was scratching out my eyeballs."

I wonder if we're having a similar experience?

Heh heh heh heh! I sometimes agree with you guys, and sometimes I don't. It probably depends on how long I've been sitting in front of a monitor. I'm going to try playing with some blur in the background and see what I can do for a George Lucas-esque Special Edition. I won't put Jabba the Hutt in there, though.

On second thought, maybe Jabba sitting in the middle of the flower with his hookah would be fun. Star Wars meets Alice in Wonderland.
