First of all - big thanks to you all! I believe nothing beats knowledgeable
hands-on experience (I hope you get the meaning) when it comes to choose gear.
Thank you - and anyone still typing or thinking about, I hope this discussion
is not finished for a while.

I'd rather use primes - but then again, carrying loads of lenses raises hell
with shoulders, backs and bank accounts, so I'm probably using one such zoom,
50mm and old 28~70 (no tele, low light and weight), or either add 135mm or
switch the 28~70 for a 28~200 from Tamron I find rather acceptable. Still the
ghosts of 14, 21, 77 or 85 haunt me. Since I can't buy them all... let's zoom
for now.

What set on this lens besides the extra wide capability was the report on lower
CAS on the photozone reports, specially compared to Pentax designs. I also got
the idea that its distortion would be less a problem than with a 18~ or 17~,
assuming the use at 17 or 18mm.

Thinking and reading about - and will post any development. Did I say thanks???
:-)
