Hmm. It's amusing ... I seem to recall that in the past couple of
decades, I've made several major purchases in the week between Xday
and New Years, and early in January.
And my partner sold his old car (the 2001 Found-On-Roadside,-Dead
Escort SE that after just 90,000 miles of careful maintenance and
proper driving just decided to break a connecting rod last month for
no reason at all) for a nice salvage price just after xday this year.
He had 20 calls on it in less than a day.
John,
I know it's annoying and aggravating, but that's the nature of buying
and selling in the free market auction world. I've listed several
things many times before they sold. The weirdest part of it is that in
almost all cases, the times an item that obstinately refused to
attract attention on previous auctions actually invoked a bidding war
was when I RAISED the price. Go figure.
Good luck getting that lens sold!
Godfrey
