Thanks for the information on the Geminids. Haven't decided if I'm going to try 800 or stick with 400, but I think one thing I definitely will do is go to a faster (although longer focal length) lens. My 28mm lens gives me a good view of the sky, but I think I'm compromised by its relatively slow f/3.5 aperture. It would probably be OK with 1600-speed print film, but I don't know how grainy, e.g., the Fuji Superia 1600 stuff is. If the weather's decent, I'll set up one body with my SMC-A 50/1.4 wide open, and probably a second body with my SMC-M 50/1.7 wide open. If I aim one to the east of Castor and the other to the west of Castor, I should increase the probability of capturing something on film. Another trick I may try should help fight dew. I thought I'd get a couple of those little chemical warming packets you put in your gloves and boots and try wrapping them around the lens barrels. Good luck!
