Best Buy is a collection of morons selling to morons.
Think the 3 Stooges gone high tech.
They may be good for a laugh, but so are Seinfeld reruns, and I
don't have to drive across towns and listen to drones outright lying
to their customers in order to make sales.

Actually, with my Z10 at least, it IS software shake reduction. That
was a disappointment. When you take a shot, and chimp it, shaking
hands will appear in the image to indicate that you have the option of
applying "shake reduction" to that image. The firmware determines a
degree of blur to present you with this info, but does nothing about
it. You can go back later and preview the images marked with the
shaking hands, preview what they will look like corrected, and either
apply it or not. There is also a SR shooting mode where the SR will be
done as you shoot, but it avoids using SR by upping the ISO to levels
that make the shots look terrible, and no longer under your control.
The manual says SR is best accomplished by using a tripod.
But like I told annsan, I use a strapped grip from an old movie camera
screwed into the tripod socket to hold the camera so my 10 thumbs have
less of a chance of screwing something up. This also remarkably
stabilizes the camera in my grip.
