I'v started to use LR more and more for my edits, but this is eluding
me,. Hey, i said elude twice to day, must be my word of the week.:-)
Example: Client wants 6 photos on a CD, two from show A, 4 from show
B.
I open LR and import the two from show A, and tell it to put in a
separate folder, inside my burn folder. I then go and open up the
photos from show B, and tell LR to copy them to the same folder, which
it does, but now i have two folders over on the left side so i have to
switch back and forth.
The question is, is there a way to have all 6 photos show up in the
one folder, or should i just copy the 6 to a folder myself and work
from that.
Not sure I understand why you're importing the files from
Burning files to a CD is an export operation. If you want to export
files that are in multiple different folders on disk, all of which
have been imported into a Lightroom catalog, there are several ways to
do it. Here are two:
- Command- or Control-click on the folders in the Library module,
Folders panel to see all of their combined contents in the Grid view.
Select the specific images you want to burn using Command- or Control-
clicks on the image thumbnails. Choose "File->Export" and then use the
"temporary folder" option. Set the rest of the export parameters as
required. Click the Export button ... Lightroom will create the export
files, ask for a CD/DVD, and output them to the root directory of the
optical volume.
- Create a collection to hold the images you want. Drag all the images
as desired into a Collection from whatever source folder you find them
in. Use the Export command to create the output folder on disk.
Lightroom will render the files, place them in the output folder, burn
the disk, and leave the files on disk as specified. The files on the
CD will be at the root directory of the optical volume.
What specifically don't you understand about these processes?
