The 35mm lens on 35mm film AOV is pretty useful you know, that's what you'll get with the 24mm on the APS-C format cameras. I find I'm using it a lot more than I expected.
Does make it a little harder to get the 24mm lens on 35mm film AOV with an APS-C camera though.
Since there's no increase in magnification from the decreased angle of view, the gains at the long end don't quite make up for the loss at the wide end.
