That would be cool.

This mine is the largest open pit mine in Australia at over 3km long &
1.5km wide +350m deep at one end and about 500m at the other.. The
area used to be made up of many underground mines, but the 80's the
costs were getting too high so plans were put in place to consolidate
all the leases (Aussies will remember Alan Bond), but he ran into his
troubles & never manged to pull it off. But the idea was sound &
eventually happened.

It's a tourist attraction too. They have an observation platform with
a ticker board announcing when the next firing will be, and a history
of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder region. We just lucked out that there was
going to be a show 15min after we arrived. If it hadn't been for a
blocked fuel filter & the need to stay the night, we never would have
been in Kalgoorlie that day.

We were also lucky that the husband & wife beside us were on the team
that set the explosives. He'd come down on his day off to try out his
new video camera :-) And he was nice enough to explain to us the
process.
