Doug,
I have been using Thunderbird (and a spamfilter - spamato) for at least
3 years. I do have occasional problems and index.msf gets corrupted.
The titles here and in a few other groups were causing problems but that
was easily fixed by setting pdml.net as an safe domain. But nothing like
you are reporting. Have you tried googling the problem or searching the
Thunderbird tech base?

Doug, Thunderbird working fine here under Linux... I'll try it in WXP in
the weekend, is your system updated (service packs or automatic)?

Does anyone else use the Win32 version of Thunderbird as their mail
client? I'm having some issues with it and PDML antagonizing each
other, and I'm wondering if anyone else around here has has the same.
Since about Saturday, at least once or twice a day, T-bird will pull a
new batch of messages from the account I use for PDML. The filters
then shuffle the PDML messages off to their own folder. Then I click
on that folder to see the new PDML messages, and T-bird crashes hard.
Destroy all of the .msf files and delete a handful of messages from
the tail of the actual PDML email file, and all is well for a few more
hours. The folder has less than 600 messages in it, and the mail file
for it is only 3.25 MB, so I wouldn't really expect it to be a size
issue.
