I like that Pentax case. I wonder if it will fit the FA 50, as that is one of only two lenses I have (the DA21 being the other) that might fit that case. If I ever own more little Limiteds (which is unlikely now that my work hours have been cut back 20%) I would definitely want one.
Larry, your do-it-yourself case probably works well but I just know someone would mistake it for a pipebomb. I'm sure you wouldn't want the bomb squad handing you a box of exploded Limited bits, would you? I got to thinking about it and came up with an idea for a lens case which may not be as pretty, or take up as little space in a pack, but which would be both cheaper and sturdier. The lining is 1/4" foam, which is just about exactly right for holding the lenses solidly in 3" ABS. The first prototype is 13" long. The trick is cutting the pipe cleanly in half. On the prototype, it is hinged with duct tape and just held closed with the end caps. I think that the right solution would involve velcro. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157613639217286/ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
