I'm on the verge of buying a somewhat beat up Tamron 300mm F2.8 with
a TC for about $900 CDN including shipping to BC ($650 US + $70
shipping + terrible exchange rate) from a stranger in the USA. (Is

I found a 60B with 01 1.4x TC on eBay a couple of years ago for about
$400 US, but in recent months they seem to go for $600-$800 depending
on condition. Given that the one you are considering sounds well-
used, I agree with Joe that you have some negotiating room.

PS - I was recently able to acquire the rare 200F 2X TC which was made
for this lens - what a great performing combination! Sorry but it
(and the lens) are not for sale...
