I learned my lesson with hard drives early. Around 1990 I had a fatal HDD failure and the company was not able to recover my data. I lost about 9 months of work files. Ever since then I have never trusted hard drives. I have had two more fail since then but nothing was lost due to backups. Last one was my C: so I only lost windows and all my applications but it still sucked having to fix all that.
