I've been trying to remember when I came on the list - my best guess
is 1997 sometime - shortly after my son was born. My interest in
photography was peaked then and I got going with my Super Program and
then picked up a ZX-10 and went on from there.

Does anyone remember Mark Dalal? I remember he organized the first
Norcal PDML at Muir Woods - Met John Francis there, among several
others.

IR> Having seen that, I contacted Doug and Steve, and offered hosting on
IR> Komkon server. March 1998 gallery was the first one hosted on Komkon.

IR> With the February of 1999 gallery, a bird [grin] named Mark Cassino
IR> became the new PUG maintainer, followed by Bill Wrobb in July of 2000.

IR> The longest PUG maintainer was Adelheid von Kirschten

IR> I am afraid to forget somebody, but I will try to list them here:
IR> Rob Studdert, Jeff Renner, Bong Manayon, Maney Gomez, Fred Wasti,
IR> Robert Batten, Alin Flaider, Tom Van Veen, Sid Barras,
IR> Delano Mireles, Flavio Minelli, Gary L. Murphy, Michael Bromm,
IR> Yves Caudano, Jan van Wijk.

IR> Amongst them, one name is repeated over the longest period of time:
IR> Jostein Oksne. (August 2000- June 2007).
IR> He was the author and maintainer of the "AutoPUG" web-site based
IR> submission form that he hosted on his website.

IR> Over these years, I enjoyed my interaction with all PUG maintainers.

IR> Fred Wasti, whose name is listed above, has also contributed with his

IR> PLG, despite alternative suggestions like "Pentax Loosers' Gallery",
IR> "Pentax Lickers Gallery" or "Canon Users Gallery" still stands for
IR> Pentax Lens Gallery :-)
IR> See this thread:
IR> http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg269956.html

IR> Stan Halpin - assembled together and organized information about
IR> many Pentax lenses http://stans-photography.info/ - based on PDMLers'
IR> opinions.

IR> Jim Colwell who created SPLOSdb - the tool that I used a lot while
IR> choosing my lenses and looking for them on eBay and elsewhere.

IR> Boz has been mentioned already.
IR> Well, I still have the F 50/1.7 that I purchased from him.
IR> :-)

IR> I am sure I am forgetting somebody...

IR> Cheers,

IR> Igor
