Oh, young grasshopper, you have so much to learn... The light entering your "camera" and falling on your film only creates an actinic image, invisible to all. One must also spend an hour in a stinky dank dark room sloshing said film around in caustic chemicals before an image is viewable. Need I go on to the "enlarging" process? More chemicals? Drying? Dealing with curl? Mounting? The crushed corners? The room in which to store the products of these endeavors?
Unlike modern "digital cameras" which only create computer files. *wink wink* :D
And we know that's only the beginning of another tedious process that has a similar outcome. ;-)
