I had this scanned at the local Wal-Mart. The files they provide are less than a megabyte in size. And the technical quality is really bad. It doesn't show in situations like this, thankfully.
Depending on their equipment, they might be able to scan it at a higher resolution if you asked them to do so.
That's assuming they have an operator who knows how to operate the equipment instead of just pushing film into the scanner slot.
