Having owned both the Nokton and the FA 50/1.4, I'd get the FA again if looking for a K mount 50 for a DSLR and the Nokton for film (I prefer 58mm on film, but its a tossup on digi). The Nokton's better, but not enough better. And the FA's tiny. The DA* 55 has some interesting qualities.and adds QSF and weather sealing to the mix. -- M.
