Dave, that sounds like a very scary accident! Glad she wasn't hurt bad
enough to require a hospital stay.
The bad news is that this *won't* discourage her from horseback riding.
You know that, right? ;-)
About 20 years ago my mum was thrown from her horse. Fractured her skull
and spent about a week in the hospital. Took almost a year to really
recover and she's lost her sense of smell completely.
She turns 70 this year and she still rides whenever she gets the chance.
Hope Erin recovers quickly. (From the injuries - nothing's going to cure
the love of horseback riding...)
