I don't mean they are perfect clones. I'd say 80% of their hardware (sensor, stabilizer, lens, screen, viewfinder) looks the same, and of course then they can run different software.

Not the same screen, as the one in the Pentax is smaller (2.7" compared to 3" of Kodak and Nikon variations). Looks like one can order a camera model a la carte nowadays.
