Cory, I think the problem is this:  Say you took 5 exposures, with your 
daughter in 5 different places.  Four of the 5 exposures don't have her in any 
particular place, so she doesn't show up.

I don't know how to do such sequences; maybe underexpose the background and use 
a carefully aimed flash?
