Can anyone interpret the language in the patent application? For
example, what are:
"annular packing made of a resilient material"
"packing-compatible camera body" and "packing-incompatible camera
body"
My five-year-old version of Netscape won't open the images.
Thanks,
Joe
It is basically a design to allow weather resistant lenses and non-
weather resistant lenses to be used on the same camera body,
regardless of the design of the (K-mount) body. It has probably
already been incorporated into the weather resistant lenses we now
have available. The patent was filed March 27th, 2008. Usually, a
patent isn't filed until the product is ready to go to production, to
prevent competitors from gleaning ideas from the filed patent. Best if
you already have a working model of the object.
I have all the drawings and the specifications if you want them I can
send them to you email off list.
