That's the refutation for an assertion that there is no objective reality, isn't it? Some years ago, I rented a room in a house for a few months; the landlord was a small church, and they didn't want to spend any money on having the fire extinguishers charged and otherwise conforming to the fire code because God wouldn't allow anything bad to happen. Then there are all those people who sincerely know that people taking pictures of trains, or public structures, just must be terrorists. Finding someone who will sincerely assert -- though I hope not by stepping in front of the bus! -- that enough faith will protect you from anything isn't that hard, either. Though down at the level of 'rocks fall; kinetic energy is real' the consensus is generally much better, sure. At the "is it art?", "should it be art?", "can you trust the photographer?" level? Not so much. -- Graydon -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
