I know what you mean ... my standard track kit is *ist D, K10D, Sigma APO 400/5.6 Macro, F* 300/4.5, FA* 200/2.8, DA 50-200, DA 16-45, Bogen monopod (3218) with medium ball head (3262), and Sigma EF500 flash. Luckily, my brother's usually along to play sherpa, and sometimes I even have a golf cart. I've given up trying to carry all that around on the Honda scooter.

Try carrying the 250-600 around for a day and see how your arms feel.

I think my wallet would be enough lighter to offset the extra weight of the lens. :-)
